About our fragrances
We use both synthetic and natural (essential oil) aromatic compounds to create our core fragrances.
What is the difference between an Essential Oil and a Fragrance Oil?
Quite simply, an Essential Oil is a natural ingredient. An aromatic compound extracted from flora and fauna, using steam distillation or solvent extraction methods. Fragrance Oil is made from synthetic compounds which often are nature-identical, and are used by perfumers to create interesting scents to compliment nature or create something very different.
All fragrances are CMR and paraben-free, as well as cruelty-free.
Some fragrances may cause an allergic reaction:
Many types of compounds (both natural and synthetic) contain allergens that may cause skin irritation in people with sensitivities. All fragrances in our range are used in accordance with strict regulatory governance. We err on the side of caution and work with the lowest levels of dilutions. If you typically experience allergic reactions, we advise caution with use and to always refer to the ‘allergy declaration’ on the product labelling that states the allergens related to the specific product ingredients. Further information relating to the governing approach to the use of fine fragrances in safe consumer exposure can be found here on the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) website. https://ifrafragrance.org/safe-use/introduction/your-well-being-always-comes-first IFRA monitor, test and assess fragrance ingredients and set rules for them to be used safely by producers – helping consumers to feel safe and good about using fragrance and fragranced products.
Always check the allergen declaration (CLP) on the safety advice label on the product or our website, before use.
