QUALITY & PROVENANCE
Quality & Provenance
We use only the highest-quality, sustainably sourced ingredients available, to make our products. We desire to keep the provenance of our products as ‘local’ as possible, and sourcing from within the UK is our absolute priority. This does, however, prove a little tricky at times. Things such as glass, and some fragrance ingredients are sourced from our near neighbouring countries. This ethos starts from raw material and runs right through to packaging and product end-of-life.
All our products are handcrafted at our home, here in Stamford, Lincolnshire.
Each of our products will have its own statement of quality and Provenance.
Reed Diffusers
This product contains a natural plant-based diffuser oil that has been infused with a blend of fragrance and essential oils.
DIFFUSER BASE
Our Reed Diffusers contain a plant-based Glycerine (predominantly sunflower and rape seed oil) which has been produced without antioxidants, preservatives, nanomaterials or glycol ethers. It is a non-toxic and eco-friendly alternative to other diffuser oil bases.
This wonderful product is long lasting, has a high solubility power, low carbon footprint, low odour, and is non toxic.
Natural | Non-GMO | Vegan-Friendly | Cruelty Free
Our diffuser base is then infused with a low percentage of fragrance.
FRAGRANCE OIL
We use a combination of Fragrance oils and/or Essential oils to create the nature-inspired and interesting scents that we use to infuse our candles. You can read our guide on the differences between Fragrance Oils and Essential Oils here.
All Fragrance oils and Essential Oils are sourced from quality U.K suppliers and are vegan-friendly, cruelty-free and paraben-free.We handcraft our products using the lowest levels of scenting but with a technique deployed to ensure the fullest aroma achievable and consistently, throughout the usage cycle. The fragrances within our collection feature differing aroma strength levels or ‘throw’ as we say in the industry, that are characteristic to their individual enjoyment.
Safety First
Some Fragrance oils and Essential oils can cause an allergic reaction in certain circumstances. Each fragranced product comes with specific information relating to any potential hazards as well as an allergen declaration. In our products, fragrance and essential oils are 'diluted' to very low levels within a carrier substance (wax, glycerin or other) to ensure safe usage or application - all of which are well within/below regulatory guidance. For safety reasons, it is important that you (or the recipient of the purchase), reads the Safety, Usage and Care Guide that accompanies your product before use, as well as the accompanying Allergen Declarations.
Regulatory Compliance
All our home fragrance products are developed in compliance with the strict regulations applied by REACH (Registration, Evaluation, and Authorisation of Chemical Substances) | CLP (Classification, Labelling & Packaging covering hazardous chemicals) | IFRA, as well as British Safety Standards.
Product Usage, Safety & Care
The performance of this diffuser, using natural rattan reeds, is gentle and long lasting for several months.
USAGE & CARE
Please read ALL of this information before you use your reed diffuser.
- Unscrew the lid of the diffuser bottle and place between 6 and 10 reeds inside the bottle.
- Allow the reeds to stand in the oil for 24hrs whilst the capillary action draws the scent upwards, and the reeds become saturated.
- After 24hrs, turn the sticks over and back into the pot carefully. You may wish to use PP gloves to do this. WARNING: Fragrance/Essential oils can cause irritation when in contact with skin or eyes. Please see below for details of what to do in the event of such contact.
- Place your diffuser on a flat, steady surface and away from heat sources that may increase the evaporation rate and overly intensify the fragrance. Avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures of over 35%.
Increasing or reducing the scent diffusion
To increase scent diffusion - you can add additional reeds as required, or turn them regularly, once each week, to reinvigorate them. To reduce the scent, simply remove reeds until you reach your desired level.
SAFETY
SKIN CONTACT: If your skin does come into contact with the oil, simply wash the exposed area throughly with soap and water. CONTACT WITH EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes (Remove contact lenses if worn, to rinse). If irritation persists or rash occurs, seek medical advice/attention. In the unlikely event that it is required, the ingredients for this oil can be found on the reverse side of this guide. Please keep this guide safe.
Safe disposal: Dispose of leftover/unused fragrance oil in accordance with local regulations. Avoid emptying into drainage systems or into the environment.
Empty bottles/containers should be rinsed and recycled in accordance with your local disposal guidelines.
Disposal & Recycling
Our Reed Diffusers are made using natural Rattan reeds, plant-based diffuser base oil that is infused with a small amount of fragrance oil, and presented in recyclable/reusable glass bottles.
Reed Diffusers are designed so that the fragrance oil evaporates over time until there is nothing left in the bottle.
To clean your bottle, simply put a tiny amount of detergent into the bottle along with some warm water. You can either leave to soak or use a bottle brush to give it a wash. Following which, rinse the bottle and dry.
Disposal
Used bottles can be presented for recycling in your normal household kerbside collection cycle or you can reuse/refill.
Dispose of leftover/unused fragrance oil in accordance with local regulations. Avoid emptying into drainage systems or into the environment.
